Languages
The CMS system can provide each page in several languages. Click 'Languages' in the site setup section of the main menu. This allows you to add and configure the list of languages that the CMS is aware of.
The first page is a list of language entries. You can sort this list by clicking on the column headings.
To change an existing language entry, click on its name within the list. To add a new entry, click on the 'new entry' link at the bottom of the page. The following information is required for each entry:
- Language Name: The name of the language - this may be the name as it is known to the administrators (i.e. 'Welsh' instead of 'Cymraeg').
- Display Order: Determines the order in which the languages are listed within the web site. Lower numbers are listed first.
- Image: A path (relative to the web site root) to an image representing the language (e.g. sysimages/lang_italian.gif).
- Template Prefix: Characters added to the template name being used to display a page, so that a localised template can be used.
- IETF Tag: The ISO 3166 code for the country (required mainly for e-commerce usage).
The default language is set when the CMS system is installed and cannot be modified.
