The Site Administration Menu
Content and file tools:
- Content Index: This is the list of all chapters and pages in the site. Chapters and pages can be added, edited and removed using this option.
- Sidebars: This is the list of all sidebar content in the site. Sidebar categories and entries can be added, edited and removed using this option.
- Upload FilesAllows you to transfer files or images to the web server from your own PC.
- Manage files: Allows you to view, download or delete images and documents you have uploaded to the web server.
- Banners: Show advertising or special offer banners is designated areas of your site's templates
Page Functions:
- Administrative Site Map: Provides an overview of all pages in the site and highlights pages with missing meta information or content.
- URL search: Displays a list of pages containing images or document links matching a given keyword
- Page Hits: Displays how many times pages have been viewed by visitors during a given period.
- Page Update History:Shows a list of all pages within a site, ordered with the most recently updated pages at the top of the list. From here the pages can be reviewed, edited, deleted, etc.
- Hidden Pages ReportDisplays a list of pages that have the 'hidden' flag set. From here the pages can be reviewed, edited, deleted, etc.
- Alternative page source reports: Lists pages that don't get their content from the page editor, such as pages linked to database-driven scripts.
- Shortcuts: Allows you to create 'friendly addresses' for pages.
- Shortcut Hits: Displays how many times the shortcuts have been used by visitors during a given period.
- Set-up SEO Paths: Generate search engine friendly page URLs.
- Send page as newsletter: Send a page to Wizzy Design's mailing list server.
Custom Options (may be different on your site):
- E-Commerce Admin:Main menu for e-commerce admin.
- Wizzy Design Control Panel:External link to hosting control panel.
- Wizzy Design Support Pages:External link to pages describing how to report problems.
- Reports: Run reports (principally for e-commerce sites).
Applications Setup
- Events Listings: Allows you to add, edit and delete events listings.
Form Builder: Allows you create and edit forms, or download captured data
- Custom Cards:Allows you to create and edit a simple 'card file' style custom database.
- Forums:Administration pages for forums.
- Upload secure file:Allows you to upload a file that can only be downloaded via the secure downloads system.
- Secure downloads:Allows you to create download profiles and security settings for secure files.
Users
- List site users :Allows you to view and edit the webserver's user database.
- New user: Allows you to add a new user to the website.
- Add new user type : Allows you to add a new type of user to the website.
- User Groups:Allowed you to add and edit user groups.
- Security overview:Describes how CMS handles security on various information.
- Site security settings: Set top-level security settings for sites and features.
- Audit log: Displays a log of certain admin events.
Advanced Functions
- List locks: List locks made by users, and delete orphaned locks.
- Copy chapter:Copy pages from one chapter to another.
- Regenerate navigation: Create button images for graphical navigation schemes.
- Database check:CMS setup and data integrity checks.
- Session data:Displays the session state data for the logged-in user.
Site Setup
- Sites:Allows you to add to and amend the list of websites that the system is managing.
- Languages:Allows you to configure the list of languages that content may be supplied in.
- Language Strings:Allows you to edit the translations of various system phrases.
- Libraries:Allows you to bind external content in HTML form into a managed site.
- Additional fonts:Allows you to customise the list of fonts that appears in the HTML editor.
- Templates:Allows you to customise the layout of the content editor to match the templates and style sheets in use on the site.
- sImage processing: Allows you to specify transformations that the user may elect to apply to an image as it is uploaded.
- Event categories:Allows you to add, edit and delete events categories.
- Content wizards:Allows you to maintain the list of plug-in modules used to insert pre-formatted blocks of content into pages.
- Custom menu options:Allows you to maintain the list of custom options that appear at the bottom of the main admin menu.
- Custom colours:Allows you to maintain the list of additional colours that appear on the editors colour palette.
- Configuration data:Allows you to change CMS system settings.
Admin Toolbar
This is found at the bottom of the Site Admin Menu page. It provides shortcuts to the most frequently used functions of the Admin Area. As default, the links on the toolbar will be:
- Page Admin
- Sidebars and Panels
- Upload Images and Files
- Manage Images and Files
- Form Builder
- Content Hits
- Recent Pages
- Logout
However, you can customise the toolbar to include shortcuts to your most commonly used features, rather than the default shortcuts. To do this, click on the spanner icon at the right hand side of the toolbar and choose your shortcuts from the dropdown menus.
